"This major retrospective of the work of Keith Haring (1958-90) brings together more than one hundred pieces, including the artist's large, ambitious paintings and his early drawings, some salvaged from New York City's subways. The exhibition traces the evolution of the artist's bold graphic style from his student years until his death from AIDS at the age of thirty-one. It also documents, through photography and video, site-specific works Haring made for public galleries in the U.S. and abroad. This is a traveling exhibition organized by the Whitney Museum of American Art, New York. A catalogue will accompany the show. "
