Continuing an annual series, this display combines the Tate's holdings of major contemporary art with loans from the Froehlich Foundation collection of contemporary American and German art. Four rooms are dedicated to two of the most important artists of the second half of the twentieth century: Andy Warhol and Joseph Beuys. In different ways each of them fundamentally rethought the traditional relationship between the artist and society.

an exhibition documenting his recent public commissions is showing at Tate Gallery St Ives. the exhibition includes documents, photographs, plans a maquette and neon lighting. It will show work in progress on a wind screen sculpture for Stag Place, Victoria and the coloured glass window commissioned for the Tate Gallery St Ives as well as the kneeler for St Stephen's Walbrook Church, London and Chelsea and Westminster Hospital.

The Art Now room houses four contemporary art exhibitions each year. These exhibitions feature recent work by new and established artists, from this country and abroad. For Art Now 15 British artist Fiona Banner is producing two large new paintings and a group of drawings. The first painting, you've got a lot of nerve, is inspired by a Bob Dylan song; the second, Break Point, focuses on the car chase scene in Kathryn Bigelow's cult film Point Break (1991).
