Notes : [ The Contemporary Hong Kong Art Biennial is the major open art competition presented by the Urban Coucil every two years, with the aim to stimulate general awareness of and interest in art in Hong Kong, to encourage more local artists to participate in artistic creation and develop their artistic talents, and to show the most recent development of Hong Kong art in the last two years. The present 12th Contemporary Hong Kong Art Biennial 1998 exhibition features some 100 works and works by the Urban Council Fine Arts Award Winners this year selected from over 1,000 entries for the competition.
