USA, New York, Guggenheim Museum

"This presentation of approximately 105 sculptures examines developments of the last 125 years of the medium and is augmented by several paintings from the Nasher collection and the Guggenheim's permanent collection. "
Notes : "A Century of Sculpture: The Nasher Collection will present multiple works by Constantin Brancusi, Raymond Duchamp-Villon, Alberto Giacometti, Henri Matisse, Pablo Picasso, Auguste Rodin, Medardo Rosso, and David Smith, among others. Remarkable not only for its uniformly high level of quality, but for the depth of its representation of key artists, the Nasher Collection covers a broad span, ranging from the pioneering work of Paul Gauguin, Auguste Rodin, and Medardo Rosso in the late nineteenth century to contemporary works by Magdalena Abakanowicz, Tony Cragg, Claes Oldenburg, and Richard Serra, among others. Many of the most important art movements of the past century, including Cubism, Constructivism, Futurism, Surrealism, Abstract Expressionism, and Minimalism, are represented by works in the exhibition.
